UNDERSTANDING GOLD

What moves gold?

Gold behaves differently from crypto. Get to know how interest rates, the dollar and the way you hold it can affect your returns.

Skyscrapers surrounding an open blue sky READING GUIDE

UNDERSTANDING SPY

What do you own with SPY?

SPY gives you exposure to large US companies in one fund. Look at its holdings and risks, and how owning shares differs from trading options.

A familiar ticker isn’t the whole story

A stock token may not give you the same rights as a share. Before using a new asset on Robinhood Chain or another network, check who issued it and what you actually own.

YOUR JOURNAL

Keep track of your trades

Write down what you traded, why you took it and how it ended. A few notes now can make your next review much more useful.

What do these numbers mean?
P&L
Profit or loss after fees. Record what the trade made or lost in dollars.
R multiple
Your result divided by the amount initially risked. Risk $100 and make $200: that is +2R.
Win rate
The share of closed trades that made money. A high win rate alone does not mean a profitable strategy.
Profit factor
Total winning dollars divided by total losing dollars. It describes your recorded trades, not future returns.
Position size
How much of an asset you take in a trade. It affects the dollars at risk, even when the price move is small.

LOOKING BACK

What would you do differently?

A winning trade isn’t always a good decision, and a loss doesn’t always mean the plan was wrong. Look back at your notes to see what you’d repeat and what you’d change.

Where the news comes from

Publisher feeds refresh when someone visits, with updates cached for up to an hour. The theme filter brings forward headlines mentioning topics such as rates, inflation and supply shocks. It matches words, not actual price impact. Feeds can be delayed and may include opinion or sponsored stories. We don’t invent stories to fill a category.

AI notes are written from the headline, not the full article, so they can be wrong. The status line above this section says whether they are switched on right now. The original report is always linked so you can read it for yourself.
